Freaky Friday 2: Sneak Peek Photos of Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis Will Take You Away

The excitement for Freaky Friday 2 keeps going on and on and on and on.
Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis had the ultimate reunion on the set of their new movie as filming is underway in Los Angeles.
Twenty years after the original body-swap movie hit theaters, the actresses were seen dressed in eccentric outfits while reprising their roles as Anna and Tess Coleman. In one scene, the mother-daughter duo took a ride in a red convertible, with Curtis flashing the peace sign.
And although Anna is a smart, strong, beautiful, independent woman and she doesn't need a man to complete her, the movie—on the other hand—would not be complete without an appearance from her detention buddy Jake (Chad Michael Murray).
Fortunately, the actor was also spotted on set, rocking a pair of jeans and carrying a motorcycle helmet just like old times.
While it's unclear where Jake and Anna stand these days, Freaky Friday 2 is promising fans won't be disappointed by this "multigenerational twist" on the original 2003 flick.
"The film picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis," read a June press release from Disney. "Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice."
And we also know she's still in touch with her Pink Slip bandmates, as Christina Vidal Mitchell and Haley Hudson are returning as besties Maddie and Peg, respectively.
Although Dr. Coleman's patient Evan will be sorely missed (as actor Willie Garson died in 2021), Disney's fortune cookie told us that characters including Tess' husband Ryan (Mark Harmon), Anna's teacher Mr. Bates (Stephen Tobolowsky) and Chinese restauranteurs Pei-Pei and her mom (played by Rosalind Chao and Lucille Soong) are tapping back in.

First look photos from the Los Angeles set captured the actresses in edgy and daring ensembles riding in a cherry red convertible.
The Freaky Friday sequel will feature "a multigenerational twist," as the film takes place years after the original body swap story, according to Disney.
"Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter," Disney shared in a June 2024 press release. "As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice."
Lohan's love interest Jake (Chad Michael Murray) also comes back in the sequel, as the actor was spotted in motorcycle gear on the film's set.
Looks like Dr. Tess Coleman is still embracing her youthful energy during a car ride with Anna.
Murray smoldered in a first look photo of his bad boy character 20 years later.
In addition to Curtis, Lohan and Murray, Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky and Rosalind Chao are appearing onscreen once again.
